Hull Firefly FAQ
What is Hull Firefly?
Hull Firefly is a participatory story hour based on The Moth Story Hour radio show. Hull Firefly meets on the third Thursday of every other month and is hosted at The Corner Stop Eatery, located at West Corner— where Hull, Hingham, and Cohasset meet.
WHO TELLS THE STORIES?
Up to fifteen speakers will be given five minutes to tell a story related to the theme of the evening. If you would like to share a story, please indicate your interest when you make your reservation.
How and when do I reserve my spot at Hull Firefly?
Hull Firefly speakers and guests are able to reserve a seat (limited to 50) starting one week prior to the date of the event. Reservations are made online through this website. Reservations automatically close once 50 seats have been reserved. Currently, we do not have the ability to create a waitlist.
Do I have to pay to come?
A reservation fee of $5.50 for each person covers the cost of administrative expenses, including the Hull Firefly website hosting and upkeep.
We are extremely grateful for The Corner Stop Eatery’s generosity by providing us with a perfect location at no cost. The Corner Stop offers food and beverage before and during the story hour.
When should I arrive?
Both speakers and audience members are asked to arrive no later than 7:45 pm, especially if you would like to order food or beverages. After 7:45pm, the event will be closed, to assure that speakers are not interrupted while sharing their stories. Storytelling starts promptly at 8:00p.m.
